Prepare our hearts, O God, to accept your Word.  Silence in us any voice but your own, that hearing, we may also obey your will; through Jesus Christ our Lord.  AMEN

Leader: The mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting.  I declare to you, in the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven.  May the God of mercy, who forgives us all our sins, strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep us in eternal life. AMEN

Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

Leader:   O come, let us sing unto God; let us make a noise to the rock of our salvation!
Congregation: Let us come into God

ALL:  Almighty God, you love us, but we do not love you fully.  You call, but we do not always listen.  We often walk away from neighbors in need, wrapped in our own concerns.  We often condone evil, hatred, warfare, and greed. God of grace, help us to admit our sin, so that as you move toward us in mercy, we may repent, turn to you, and receive forgiveness; through Jesus Christ our Redeemer.  Amen
