PSPC Worship Service

Good morning, Palm Springs Presbyterian Church Members and Friends!
Welcome to All here in our sanctuary and those of you joining us remoting!!
We have several very important events to highlight today:
1) For our members, our Fall Congregation Meeting will be held directly after Worship today here in the sanctuary. Those of you that will be joining us remoting, please use the Zoom link you received in your email to join this meeting. It is very important you attend, as we hope to have a quorum so our Nominating Committee members can be elected and start preparing for the new year.
2) Our Introductory Membership Session will be held in the Fellowship area immediately after our short Congregational Meeting. A light lunch will be served for those attending this very informative session.
3) We are very excited our holiday season will be upon very soon, and we have several announcements to make regarding our tradition in preparing for this joyous season:
- For those of you that would like to donate a poinsettia in memory of a loved one to decorate our alter for Christmas, you may do so now. You may send your donation to our church, and each poinsettia would be $10.00. When sending in your donation, please include the name or names of individuals you wish to have your poinsettia in memory of.
- We are always excited to decorate our sanctuary for Christmas and would greatly appreciate volunteers to come help us in the fun effort. It is being coordinated by Pauline Gregg for Wednesday, Dec 1st, at 10:00 AM. Again this year, we are so very fortunate to have Chuck Hulsey, our dear friend and decorator, to guide us in the beautiful decorations he always creates.
Our final announcement is to invite you to join us for a Church Luncheon on Thursday, Dec 2nd at 11:30 AM, at Billy Reeds here in Palm Springs. There is a sign-up sheet in the Fellowship area for you to let us know you’ll be able to join us and to provide you with the address of Billy Reeds, the restaurant. Please sign up by Monday, Nov 29th, so we will know how many will be joining us to make the reservations.
BIRTHDAYS!!! We have two dear ladies having birthdays this week.
- Patti Cameron – Today, Sunday 21st
and
- Sara Diaz – Saturday, Nov 27th
We wish you a wonderful birthday, Patti and Sara, and may God bless you and keep you safe all year long.

O God of mercy, woe be upon us, for we do not obey you. We confess one baptism, yet we foster divisions in Christ

ONE: We are told in Scripture that the days are coming when God will raise up a righteous Branch, who shall reign and deal wisely, who shall execute justice and righteousness in the land. We believe that Christ has come and performed all that was foretold by the prophets. I can assure you that in Jesus Christ we are forgiven.

Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

Holy and gracious God,
may your Holy Spirit give us
a spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that, with the eyes of our hearts enlightened,
we may know the hope to which Christ has called us,
the riches of his glorious inheritance among us,
and the greatness of his power for those who believe.
