Welcoming | ||
Life of the Church | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Elder John Evans |
One: This is the day the Lord has made; Many: Let us rejoice and be glad in it! One: We bring our song before the Lord; ALL: We come to give our thanks and praise! |

Passing of the Peace | Bind Us Together | Congregation |
God our Creator, your love is abundant and patient, grace-filled and ever-present. When we open ourselves to you, your presence gives comfort, healing and strength. The same beauty that adorns all of nature is manifest in our very selves, waiting to be experienced and shared. We give thanks for such a wondrous gift, and praise the infinite goodness that is the source of all things. We pray, O Lord, that you will give us a clean heart, the sins of our failings swept away by your grace and replaced with the love you have given us. Teach us to forgive and to fully forgive others. Let us hear ourselves when we criticize and judge. Remove our prejudices, and replace them with curiosity and gladness. In you all things are possible. As we struggle against our nature as mortals and our desire for ego and power, let your hand be upon us. Help us surrender to your will, and let the Spirit guide us towards our best selves. Let us be leaders in reconciliation and peace, a safe place in an indifferent world. For we are your people, created anew each day by the love and sacrifice of the One in whose name we pray, in Jesusay after Pente |

Prelude | Fairest Lord Jesus | Praise Band |
Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, was risen for us, and reigns in power over us. Sisters and brothers hear this good news. Through Christ we are forgiven and reconciled with the Creator of all. |

* Call to Worship | Lord I Want to be a Christian | Hymn #630 (all) |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
||
