Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Suzanne Swartz |
God, Creator of all, on this Sunday after Christmas we rest in the glow of the stable, and the world seems changed. What was chaos has become calm, and lights of celebration, still shining in the darkness, remind us of the one Light that has entered the world so that we, your people, might know the peace that is your love. We sing our songs of praise to you, O Lord, and as we sing we whisper for your forgiveness, knowing how we forget to love, to see, to tell your story and to live your story. Bind our hearts to you we pray, that the joy of this moment will become the center of who we are, always. We ask in a Jesus’ name, Amen. |

Life of the Church | Special Music | Elder Jim DeHart |
Hear the Good News! Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us. Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Know you are forgiven and be at peace. Amen. |

Passing of the Peace | Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee | Congregation |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |

Prelude | Gloria Patri | Praise Band |
Guide us, O God, by your Word and Spirit, that in your light we may see light, in your truth find freedom, and in your will discover your peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen |
