Welcoming | My Peace (As we return to our seats.) | Rev. Narcissis Tucker |
One: This is your day, O God, and we come with joy and love! Many: We will sing of your love and justice; One: To you, O Lord, we will sing praise. ALL: Be with us in this, your holy place! |
||
Life of the Church | Fill My Cup, Lord | Elder John Evans |
On this day of glory and light, we rejoice in your power and love, O Lord. On a mountain you revealed yourself, and established your place above all Creation. Because of you, we need not fear, and because of you we dare to hope - we are called to hope, so sure is your promise. With Christ as the victor, we cannot lose. And still, we worry. We seek dark places. We experience terror and let it overwhelm the light. Forgive us, Holy One, and mend our broken clay. Build us up as vessels of your love, fearless and joyful in the face of any challenge, confident always of your presence in all of life. We ask always in Jesus' name, Amen. |
||
Passing of the Peace | O Day of Rest and Gladness | Congregation |
Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, was risen for us, and reigns in power over us. Sisters and brothers hear this good news. Through Christ we are forgiven and reconciled with the Creator of all. |
||
Prelude | This Little Light of Mine | Praise Band |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
