Vacation Bible Study

High Seas Adventure VBS - June 2010

ShipWhat a great adventure PSPC enjoyed from June 21 to June 25!  We opened our doors and our hearts to 10 wonderful children for a week of fun, Bible stories, God Sightings, singing, and snacks. Mornings in front of the boat began with music in motion, led by Joyce and all her song helper children.Snack_all

Nancy led the daily Bible stories where we heard about Jesus and other early Christians reaching out to help others.

Each day the children, with Jan directing, prepared a new food for their snack such as surf and snakes (Jello, cool whip, gummy worm) reminding them of God healing Paul from a poisonous snake bite.Theater_program

Crew Leaders Barbara, Harvey, and Fae guided kids outside to eat, discuss,  and have pictures taken by Margaret for our daily ending celebration.

Craft time with Nancy and Elizabeth followed the theme of the day.  Children glued, cut, colored and twisted papers to help them see how God is with us each day.

Ourside_GroupStory Theatre video time with Ellie showed us how to follow God’s teachings.  Each student wrote how they found God in their everyday life.

We look forward to another season of VBS soon.

Souperbowl Sunday

February 5th, Souper Bowl Sunday.  Stay after worship for a  wonderful soup luncheon.  Donations gratefully welcomed.  All donations received will go to a local program to feed people in need.

Sunday Mornings Bible Study
For those of you who want a Sunday morning Bible Study class, this is the class for you. Ernie Moore leads this class using the Kerygma teachings. Meet in the social hall from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. It is a great time of learning, study, fellowship and growth in our faith. All are welcome.
 
Men's Bible Study
Every Wednesday morning from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. at the church.
 
Women's Bible Study

Women's Bible Study meets on Tuesday, at 9:30 AM in the social hall.  We will be studying Revelation.  Come and join us on January 24th for learning, sharing and prayer.
